Arizona Long-Term Care Partnership Information
Specific Long Term Care information:
After failing to pass in its initial iteration, Arizona State Senator Allen has re-introduced LTC partnership legislation under a new bill. If passed, the legislation will require all Long-Term Care producers to complete an initial 8-hour course by 6/30/2009, and a 4-hour refresher course every two years beginning July 1, 2009. Resident agents would have to complete a CE-approved course by an Arizona approved provider; reciprocity would be available for non-residents, although insurers would be required to validate that the training taken meets Arizona's standards (general NAIC content requirements).
Training Information and CE needed to sell LTC - Agents must complete 8 hours of specific LTC training to be eligible to sell LTC policies in AZ. Every 2 years after the initial training the agent must take a 4 hour LTC refresher course.
